This would be an unpopular opinion, but the movie is shallow and overrated. Don't get me wrong, it's great stop-motion animation, especially for the time, and character design is great, too, but that's all there is to it. And maybe a couple of songs.
There is practically no story here. It's essentially like quite a few modern movies, especially those super-heros' ones (not only Marvel): things are happening, but they are happening more because authors chose to make them happen, rather than characters were following their desires in some way or form.
I was not hooked by anything within first 20 minutes and was mostly forcing myself to watch this till the end. I was not a fan of Corpse Bride, but even that one was much better in my eyes, since it did have a plot, even though a flawed one.
