This was completely boring and uninspiring. This was a total bla-bla-bla fest. Almost non-stop talking, talking, and talking. Eloquent and long phrases with barely any meaning behind them, let alone emotions. I do not mind series or movies where people talk a lot, but when the dialogues are good by themselves and are delivered in a meaningful manner. I did not even get to the "scary" parts of the show, because I just could not bear it. Even without reading original I can say that it was a mistake to produce this, let alone try to "modernize" it. The wokeness did not stand out here, mind you, but it also did not add anything, either. Hard pass from me.
