Premise is ok, but the way the story is told is too chaotic. The time jumps all over the place, which makes it difficult to follow. I also think it takes itself a bit too serious. This may create a brooding atmosphere, as if something is looming around the corner, but then you see some stupid stunt and that atmosphere stops working for a moment. It's possible, that I will try manga at some point, though.
Also, about those clothes that make you partially invisible: would that even be useful? If your enemy sees your head (or even just your eyes) and your legs, then... Can't they like approximate where your torso is? Yes, they can't predict arms, but only if they are also covered. Does not seem practical in real fight.
