I will probably be a minority saying, that I am not a fan of faces here: the eyes seem too disproportionate and inconsistent.
Other than that this is probably a story of Oedipus complex, where the girl realises she has one, but the setup is done in such a way to allow the “romance” to play out. And one can argue, that it may turn out to be a story saying that grooming is ok (it’s not).
I see too many ways this cam go wrong in real life, but this show is probably for girls, who need to be groomed into thinking that it’s fine to fall in love with a person who replaces your parents. Maybe I wrong, but I am not the target demographic either way.
