Episode 4:
Did something change compared to 1st season? Something feels off, as if the focus shifted, and relationship is not even a third of a thought, but more like a third of an afterthought. Yes, cosplay and other slice-of-life stuff were happening a lot in the 1st season, too, but it worked like a pretext for the romance and character development. 2nd season feels like... A set of sketches, that do not really go anywhere, at all.
Marin and Gojo relationship is essentially mentioned briefly, there does not seem to be any progress there (which is painful). There is still some good messages about acceptance and all, but it feels like the show lost its... "Novelty", I guess? It feels almost stagnant and directionless. What's worse I do not see any signs of overarching story, too. But if I am to watch something purely for the vibes, Ame To Kimi To is better, since it feels almost meditative.
Marin is still adorable, best gyaru, but I just do not feel the show as a whole anymore.
