The show reminds me of Grand Blue in terms of dynamics and high level approach to humor. But Grand Blue did make me laugh, while this one - not really. Not sure if I even smiled.
I think Grand Blue made a point of exaggeration as a way to show YOLO approach to life and how it can be helpful in general and in your personal growth specifically. In Kaminaki it looks to be there just for the sake of being there. Does not make it bad, but not my thing after all, no doki doki.
