Just started, but there are already at least one inconsistency with what we saw up to the end of the movie. The very first episode suggested that you do not really need a white whistle to enter the last dive "lift". So what was the point of getting one? Especially if it stink so bad, that Reg can track it over very long distances? I mean, this would probably trigger lots of aggressive fauna on the previous layers even. What's more, if there is a "capital" on this layer, and they know that there is only a single point through which cave raiders can reach the layer, why isn't there a camp somewhere near that point? Yes, it's clear that someone was watching the new people, but would it not make sense to have an actual small camp to meet the newcomers, if we suppose that the inhabitants of the "capital" are friendly (which they do look like)?
