After this movie the curse makes even less sense to me. I mean they have multi-storied buildings in the Abyss. Yes, 1st season briefly mentioned that Ozen's place (to get to which you had to use a lift) was in a space where the curse was not present (or had less impact on), but in the movie we had a huge facility with lots of stories. I get it, that it's essentially just this white whistle Bondrewd (and his "minions" and "experiments"), but would it not make more sense to have this thing "flat" without any elevation? Or use just the first floor? Or are they all constantly sniffing those little animals?
Speaking of white whistles: considering how they are made, what's the deal with the other whistles? If they were just regular ones, but of different color - who cares, that's just arbitrary color scheme, but with this... I would assume that white whistles appeared first, and then the others were invented to... Obscure their nature? And what's with that "last dive" thing? It's clearly not a natural occurrence, so it's man made, but who made it? I do not think it's Bondrewd, because the way he is experimenting implies, that he does not know that much. That "thing" also implies that white whistles, while "unique per user" are not that unique, since it's enough to use any white whistle to make it work.
So more questions than answers, that's for sure, and since it does not look like there is "magic" in this world, I am really curious if the conclusion will be logical enough. "Papa pole" was hilarious, though, and Nanachi is best grill.
