Birthed in the exquisitely cool days of autumn, Kephri’s mother and father lived in the thick forests of the black shroud. On the day of her birth the leaves of the towering trees transformed to dappled gold, amber, and green and the stars were obscured with the season’s steely, gray clouds. Her parents and their peers rejoiced over the birth and feasted that evening as the babe suckled sweetly at her mother’s breast. The feasters reveled around them but were ignored the mother and child rested in a comfortable chair toward the edge of the room an indescribable, unbreakable bond was forming between them.
The little family made their way through life caring for the chocobos at the local Gridanian chocobo stables. Her parents raised their precocious Miqo'te daughter to love and care for the nature around her and to protect its sanctity. She had an avid sense of adventure and spent most of her time exploring the forest. As she grew so did her exploits and eventually she became well-known in her village as a forest ambassador. She learned to speak with the trees, flora, and animal inhabitants of the land and grew close to them, creating a dialogue which benefitted both the villagers and the forest inhabitants. When the forest began to change and become more aggressive, it was Kephri who noticed first. She worked tirelessly to stop the spread of anger and violence through the forest but eventually she was overwhelmed and the forest ceased to be a friendly, welcoming place. With this change, instead of being an ambassador to the peaceful forest, she became a guide protecting people from the dangerous forest beasts and animals.
Her goal in becoming and adventurer is to restore the frightened, aggressive forest to its original peaceful state and to repair the damage of whatever has caused the break. With that in mind, she sets off to make her goals happen and keep the forest she loves along with the people who inhabit it safe.
